Energetic Young Girl!! From Village to City :)

For Long time, i was thinking that i need to store my city experiences somewhere.
I will take this as a chance and do it now.

As my blog URL means, i am a girl from pakka rural village.
I studied all my subjects in mother tongue except the language "English"
i completed my studies (including graduation) in that place only.
In graduation, i have attended all my campus interviews with great expectation as like any other student. Got selected in one company too.I decided not to burden my parents ( Did not wanted to study more also :-) ),and to go for job.

The company which i got selected had given posting in Bangalore. I have never ever thought in my life that i will go outside alone and will work.

My Dad came with me, left in a P.G and went. I started crying like anything, and i was terrified because of the things that i had read in newspapers ( kidnapping, accident, bars, Guys etc). I did not cry because i have to stay away from parents. Really i am telling, i cried because of flyover :-). I have never ever seen these types of flyovers in my life and this type of traffic. My fear for first thing is crossing the road. You know what, i was not aware of what is one way road also.

I had taken all my new experiences with excitement. I got nice friends here. Now i am living here for more than 4 years. If i remember my first day in Bangalore City, i ll end up in laughing like anything, and all my cousins used to tease me with that.

Life is trying to give some new experiences in every part of it. I have learnt to enjoy most of them. Some things are not acceptable, but i know that i dont have guts to change those. So i m simply avoiding.

Be happy always!!!

One More Good Book

Yesterday we had leave because of strike.
I got a chance to read Preeti Shenoy's "34 Bubblegums And Candies" .
First i thought that this is a novel. While reading, i came to know that it is real life incidents.
I really liked this book.
Each and every title (topic) left some feeling inside me.
I came to know about the authors blog . It is as nice as her  books.

I got this book and "Tea for Two and a piece of Cake" from landmark, after reading the other book "Life is what you make it" of the same author.
I am hoping "Tea for Two and a piece of Cake" will also be nice.

Be Simple and Happy!!!

Preeti Shenoy

This week end, i read a book "Life is What You Make It" which i got from one of my friends.
The story was simple and nice
I have read only less English novels. In those, i felt this was some thing really different.
I was expecting, this will talk about love story of Ankita and Vaibhav, when i started reading.
But It is really amazing.
It talks about all part of a young girl's life.
Moreover, i went to shocking mode, while reading the things, what Ankita was doing when she got depressed.

It gave me really nice week end.. And this is the first English novel which i read in one stretch.
Planning to read the other novels of the Author.

Have a happy week ahead..

Mahashwetha

Last weekend, i got 2 books to read which i got as gift from my team. Both of them are Sudha Murthy's.
One is "How i taught my grandmother to read and other stories". Actually i was attracted by the title and the front cover and expected so much. But there was nothing much as i expected. There were no story in that. It was all about the author's life incidents. Totally it was old "Naadha!! Devi!!" style. But somewhat ok kind to read.

The other book is "Mahashwetha", a novel by Sudha Murthy.
I liked the narration and the story. I felt like crying when Vasant asked, "Where is your family?" and Anupama said "I don't have one".
I felt like clapping, when Anupama says to Anand ,"Saying right thing at right time is what makes a conversation meaningful".
But there are some strange things, even though the story is inspiring, the author did not talk anything beyond sanskrit and north kartanaka. Always, there was a thing in mind like, girls are born to suffer, while reading the story. I don't know whether to take this as the Author's mind set, or our society is like that.

But being a south Indian village girl, 80%, i am agreeing to Sudha Murthy's thoughts about our society.
People will give more importance to external look, even they are educated. There will be 75 % people in south India are like "Anand".
The author did not talk anything more about the disease, may be lack of details, or did not want to dig on that.

Over all, i liked this story. But people from different culture and background will not say"This is a good story".

Thanks to Sudha Murthy for giving nice week end thoughts for me.

Be Simple and happy..

Revolution 2020

3 weeks back i had got chance to read Chetan Bagat's "Revolution 2020".
It took so much time for me to complete that novel.
In between, i felt bored to read..
There was one interesting thing, how much things they are doing to open a private engineering college.
And that is only for making money.
In my native, even though it is very small village, people are fond of engineering course.
Irrespective of marks and the student's interest, just for the name sake they are spending a lot money for this course. And as per my thought, this is not going to lead a healthy future for our country and also the people.

And over all in this novel , the character "Raghav Kashyap" , has good thoughts and that is what required for real "Revolution 2020"

 Nice to read such thoughts.

Nice..
Be happy and simple..

One More Novel

This Weekend went with Ravinder Singh's one more novel, "Can Love Happen Twice"
I had so much interest while starting this novel, this interest was more than which i had while finishing the first one "I too had a love Story".
But it didn't meet that expectation.
It was having so much filmy emotions and feelings. Probably i felt like that.
What exactly i felt was, no i didn't feel anything... That is what missed here..
For me it was like, it  is just a story and not anything else..
In some places, there was over explanations than expected..
But still, as a whole i enjoyed this week end by reading this..

Thats all... Week end got over...
Travel started again towards one more week...
This week , i can enjoy, because i am having leave on coming friday..
So only 4 days for work...

Have a Happy Week ahead..
